New C Collection Now Available

Today we'd like to share with you more exciting changes taking place here at Planet! In conjunction with the same German manufacturer, we're now offering a new competitive range called The C Collection.

The collection offers more choice here at Planet and although an alternative to our luxury hand-built and high-end Next125 ranges, neither design, style or durability are compromised as you will see in the photo's below. It offers great versatility due to it's vast range of door styles, colours and cabinet sizes which are all made to order. The collection is available in 28 beautiful colours from muted to vibrant so whatever your taste there's sure to be one to suit you.

Look out for our new displays in the showroom nextdoor which will be on their way very soon! These will include country and contemporary style kitchens, storage, bedroom and home office furniture, once again demonstrating the versatility of this beautiful product.

We hope you like the new C Collection, we'd love to hear your thoughts. If you require any further information then please don't hesitate to get in touch.

Macmillan Coffee Morning

We would like to say a big thank you to all those who came to our Macmillan Coffee Morning last week. We managed to raise over £250 so we are really thrilled and we had a lot of fun (and cake!) in the process!

As you can see there were plenty of delicious treats to choose from and we'd like to thank our bakers who contributed!

The cakes are ready for their close up before they're gone!

Tea anyone?!

A couple of our Designers hanging around the cakes!

Going fast!

Just a little bit more cake then..

Our lovely Leanne and Russell outside the showroom, ready for their cake run into town!

Seeking out cake buyers..

Bingo! We managed to sell the rest of our cakes in the town, helping us raise even more money for Macmillan.

Macmillan Coffee Morning

Good Morning!

We'd like to invite you to our coffee morning on Friday 26th September at 10.30am at our showroom in Hitchin. There will be coffee, cake, games, a raffle and the chance to have a good old natter!

It's all in aid of Macmillan Cancer so why not pop in, we hope to see you there!

Beautiful Storm Grey Shaker Kitchen

We have one of our recently completed projects to share with you today. This storm grey shaker kitchen is part of a beautiful new extension which provides a perfect family space to gather and entertain.

The lay-on style furniture is painted in the wonderfully muted tones of Farrow and Ball with the perimeter cabinets in Pavillion Grey and the island painted in Mole's Breath. The 30mm Caesarstone Osprey worksurfaces contrast beautifully with the rest of the kitchen.

Below you can see the beautiful light flooded extension with its large folding, sliding doors to the garden and roof lights.

The stainless steel appliances are from Neff apart from the wine fridge which is from Caple. The cabinet handles and knobs are chrome.

The Franke Ariane undermounted sink is complimented with a Franke Eiger tap and a Quooker Design boiling hot water tap. The island is given extra focus with these simple hanging pendant lights and the under pelmet cabinet lighting gives a subtle wash of colour to the kitchen back wall.

We hope you like this kitchen? If you have a furniture project you'd like to discuss whether it be domestic or commercial then please don't hesitate to get in touch!

Cool, Calm and Collected Kitchen

We wanted to share a cool, calm and collected Kitchen with you today situated in a wonderful space full of character.

The cabinets are lay-on shaker in style, hand-painted in Pearl Ashes (also an Aga colour) with stunning Silestone Bianco Rivers work surfaces.

The accents of stainless steel and chrome feature throughout the area, including the smart ironmongery from Hafele. The triple fridge unit is from John Lewis and we designed the surrounding piece of furniture specifically to house this.

Below is the Franke Rotondo ceramic undermounted sink in the island which is complimented by the Perrin & Rowe Phoenician Mixer Tap.

The large kitchen area is further accentuated by the tall vaulted ceiling with stunning oak beams. The back wall features two Neff CircoTherm built-under ovens with a Neff Flexinduction hob and the bespoke canopy holds the Miele integrated extractor neatly.

Light floods through the beautiful arched window below.

We'd love to hear your thoughts on this kitchen. If you would be interested in finding out more about us and how we can help you with a future project then please get in touch.

Beautiful In-frame Kitchen Refurbishment

We have an exciting project to show you today as it's a refurbishment of a Planet Furniture kitchen which was originally fitted over ten years ago now. The client was happy with the existing layout and condition of the cabinets which were solid oak and in-frame in style but wanted to refresh and uplift the space. The client was also happy to change the existing granite and timber worktops. You can see the before photos of the kitchen below.

BEFORE

To acheive a dramatic new look the oak cabinets were hand painted in a mixture of pale grey to match the beautiful existing pearl ashes Aga and pale pink. This was then complimented by new Quartz worksurfaces in Silestone Bianco Rivers which gives the overall space a much lighter feel.

AFTER

The previous sit-at breakfast bar in the island area was removed and the overall height reduced and modified slightly to include a set of pot and pan drawers which gives the space a more open feel.

The new stainless steel American style fridge freezer from Aga provides a stunning focal point and is complimented by the beautiful stainless steel updated handles throughout.

The sink in the island area was replaced and a beautiful Franke swiss pro tap was added.

The majority of the cabinets are painted in pearl ashes to match the colour of the Aga. As no extraction is required above the Aga, it allows for the beautiful display area.

We hope you like the end result of this kitchen and that it shows a Planet kitchen really is for life!

If you have a new project or a refurbishment of existing Planet furniture you would like to discuss with us then please do get in touch.
